Chris gets many requests to sign Early Day Motions. Formally, EDMs are petitions to the Government and Parliamentary protocol has evolved that members of the Government do not sign these. Therefore, as a Parliamentary Private Secretary Chris is unable to sign EDMs, but will bear in mind the views they express in his work.
