Chris met the new Suffolk Chief Constable this week to hear of his aims and ambitions for improving policing in the county.

Chris emphasised the needs of Ipswich where the majority of the county's crime and disorder occurs to encourage the allocation of the necessary resources to tackle this.

Chris also raised questions about the implementation of the Government's safer neighbourhoods policing teams, future work by the police on the prostitution strategy and the current restructuring of the Basic Command Units in the county.
