Chris volunteered in Barnardo's Ipswich shop for a Saturday morning to learn more about their work and to meet volunters and staff who serve the local community. Their work helps Barnardo's to raise funds for services to support children, young people and families.

Make a Difference Day, Saturday 27th October raises the profile of volunteering and encourages community involvement in charitable activities.

Chris spent his time sorting donated clothing items, steaming clothes and working on the till. He commented after the event, "I am enormously impressed with the dedication and hard work of all the volunteers at Barnardo's and indeed in all the charitable organisations in Ipswich, they all make a contribution to Bardardo's aims and campaigns such as Dare to Care - End Child Poverty, which I whole heartedly back."
